Information Technology Instructional Support Specialist
The 91¿´Æ¬ (91¿´Æ¬) Information Technology Office is charged with providing or assisting with the delivery of technology planning and management in support of the college’s local technology infrastructure, local area network service, email administration, and client-side support services for all students, faculty, and staff.
The Information Technology staff is specifically charged with providing or assisting with the delivery of all of the following:
- Technology Planning – Assists in the development and review, and implementation of the college’s annual technology planning documents.
- IT Procurements – Identifies, evaluates, and recommends IT goods and services to support the college’s technology needs.
- Asset Management – Tracks and maintains records for equipment and software licenses.
- Technology Management – Supports the college’s local technology infrastructure and related facilities, systems, and services.
- Client-Side Support – Provides management, administration, and support of the college network infrastructure, servers, desktop computers, computer facilitates, and related services.
- ³¢´¡±·Ìý³§±ð°ù±¹¾±³¦±ð²õ – Provides LAN administration and support services.
- Email Administration and Support Services – Provides general administration, customer support, and related services.
- Information Security – Assists in the planning, administering, and supporting of the activities related to securing and protecting the 91¿´Æ¬Â and VCCS technology infrastructure, systems, and data.
- IT Project Management – Plans, coordinates, and manages IT projects to support college technology initiatives and operational needs.
Provide technical expertise for day-to-day management, operations, and support of the college’s technology infrastructure. Provides technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network infrastructure, servers, cloud-based systems, information security, audiovisual systems, voice services, and other technology services that support college operations and instruction.
Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to faculty, staff, and students, including direct and remote assistance with technology-related questions, operational issues, and service requests. Responsible for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and maintaining technology systems and equipment to ensure reliable and effective technology services across the college.
Serves as a primary point of contact for IT support requests and help desk services and coordinates with VCCS Information Security Shared Services and other technology partners as needed. Supports the college’s instructional and distance learning technology needs and promotes the effective and secure use of technology throughout the college.
Peer Tutor-English
Provide individual tutoring in specified discipline for which hired and integrate study and learning strategies to promote independent learning.
Tutor students in specified discipline and encourage students to develop a systemic approach to studying that will serve them in many courses. Participate in professional development offerings. Meet with Academic Skills Advisor to plan appropriate academic support for students. Refer students to appropriate campus resources as needed. Keep and maintain regular and accurate records of tutoring sessions using the appropriate forms. Reach out to students in the program and encourage them to come in for academic support. Perform other duties consistent with the position of Peer Tutor.
Industrial Technology Adjunct
Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. All faculty members must be skilled in oral and written communications and must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members.

Nursing Clinical Instructor
91¿´Æ¬ is seeking part-time Nursing Clinical Lab Instructors.
Functional Responsibilities:
1. Provide instruction, supervision, and evaluation of student’s performance in classroom, clinical, and lab settings.
2. Supervise and evaluate groups of students (usually 6-10 students) in hospital or health care settings.
3. Understand the objectives of the assigned course and be familiar with the nursing curriculum.
4. Maintain a collaborative and positive relationship with the clinical site, other faculty, and staff.
5. Responsibilities may include work during the day, evening, and/or weekend as determined by the course(s) assigned.
6. Maintain student records, including accurate clinical hours, and sign off at the end of each clinical day.
7. Meet and communicate with students on a regular basis to provide academic feedback.
8. Accurately complete clinical paperwork.
9. Participate in all mandatory trainings, and/or meetings required before and during the semester, to include site-specific orientation.
Dental Hygienist Adjunct
The adjunct faculty member is responsible for teaching courses to which he/she has specific training or competence. Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to students to promote and direct student learning in either a classroom, remote via Zoom, or online environment to students with a wide variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Engages students outside of class via office hours and provides thorough, timely, and effective feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating a learning environment that facilitates students’ acquisition of knowledge and skills in a discipline and/or program.
- Aligns course activities with student learning outcomes for the course; employ a variety of active learning strategies to foster student engagement; employ appropriate technology and supporting materials that support course and/or program learning outcomes; and provide students with prompt and meaningful feedback on course activities and assignments, communicating with students in a timely and respectful manner.
- Deliver instruction in support of stated learning outcomes; adhere to college policies and procedures for participation in student surveys of instruction; conduct meaningful and timely assessments of student learning, including at least one assessment within the first 15% of class; and analyze the previous semester’s evaluation of instruction and develop and implement appropriate action plans as necessary.
- Responsibilities may include work during the day, evening and/or weekend as determined by the course(s) assigned.
- Hold at least 1 office hour per week for each course assigned.

Business Office Liaison
The Business Office Liaison will provide support for students and employees of 91¿´Æ¬ in the 91¿´Æ¬ Business Office. This position is responsible for working with SSC to process payrolls for college personnel along with related reconciliation and reporting activities and working with SSC to update and maintain all employee information in the Commonwealth of Virginia payroll system. This position also serves as cashier for receiving and posting all revenues and compiling daily cash settlement reports with preparation of corresponding deposits.
Other fiscal activities performed include posting federal receipts and disbursements to automated accounting system; working with TCC on preparation of financial aid reconciliation and disbursement of awards; accounts receivable billings for tuition and fees; daily printing and distribution of various reports from SIS and AIS, and records management.
